Germany, NSKK. A Crash Helmet Insignia, by Ferdinand Wagner

(Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps Insignien für Sturzhelm). Constructed of aluminum, the obverse consisting of a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika on a blackened disc, topped by a black banner bearing initials “NSKK”, the reverse retaining all three sets of butterfly-style attachment prongs, marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code “M1/8” for Ferdinand Wagner, Pforzheim, measuring 180 mm (w) x 90 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
